Apple Certified Trainer for IT

This intensive, four-day course prepares training professionals to deliver Apple's Leopard 301 course. The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises that reinforce practical skills, peer and instructor feedback, and group discussion. Participants will be expected to deliver pre-assigned sections of the course content and provide constructive feedback.

This course meets one of the requirements necessary to become an IT Apple Certified Trainer for Leopard 301. To fulfill the T3 requirement, you must attend the Leopard 301 T3 course, demonstrate your presentation skills, training abilities, and understanding of the course content, as well as contribute to class discussions and peer reviews. Attendees will be informed whether they've passed the T3 within 10 days after completing it.

Prerequisites

Participants must meet the following prerequisites prior to attending this course:

  • Have achieved ACT certification for Leopard 101: Mac OS X v10.5 Support Essentials
  • Have attended the Leopard 301 course as a student
  • Have submitted an ACT application, and been accepted into the program
  • Have passed the Mac OS X Directory Services exam v10.5 exam at the trainer cut score of 84%
  • Have thoroughly reviewed the book: Mac OS X Directory Services v10.5 by Arek Dreyer, as well as the Leopard 301 Student Workbook.

Apple Certified Trainer for IT

To attend an IT Train-the-Trainer (T3) course, candidates must first be accepted into the Apple Certified Trainer (ACT) program. This program trains and certifies qualified individuals to deliver curriculum focused on Apple's suite of technologies. ACTs work with Apple Authorized Training Centers (AATCs) to deliver a range of end-user courses.

Apply for admission by completing the online ACT application. The application will be reviewed by the Apple IT Training team. You must meet all prerequisites to be accepted into the program. Please allow at least seven business days for your application to be processed.

Once you are accepted into the ACT program, you'll receive an email with information on registration and fee payment for the T3 course you've selected. If you have any questions, please email: it-trainer@apple.com.
