European Mac OS X Training Camp — June 24 to July 4, 2008

The Annual European Mac OS X Training Camp will take place at the Cannes Palace Hotel in Cannes, France, from June 24th to July 4th. This intensive 7-day event will be hosted by Agnosys SA in association with Amsys Plc, two of Europe’s leading Apple Authorised Training Centres. A unique event in Europe, the camp brings together professionals from around the world for Apple technical training in a stimulating environment. This year’s camp includes a new Amsys track on Mac OS X Server technology, including Wiki Server, iCal Server, iChat Server and Podcast Producer. Delegates can choose to take training in French with Agnosys or in English with Amsys.

Final Cut Pro Practice Exam Now Available — Feb 18, 2008

We're pleased to announce that the Final Cut Pro 6 Exam Prep Guide and Practice Exam are now available. The Prep Guide is downloadable for free, and includes directions on taking the Practice Exam for $25. The Practice Exam is a good indicator of areas you may need to review, and can be taken online from home since it does not earn certification. Upon completion, the correct answers will display so that you can identify the areas that you need to review before taking the certification exam.


Aperture 2 Re-certification — Feb 12, 2007

Apple just released Aperture 2, groundbreaking photo editing and management software with over 100 new features. With a streamlined interface and entirely new image processing engine, Aperture 2 also introduces new imaging tools for highlight recovery, color vibrancy, local contrast definition, soft-edged retouching, vignetting and RAW fine-tuning.

To support this new release and meet the needs of our Apple Certified Pro community, Apple Training and Certification will release new courses and certifications. Apple Certified Pros who currently hold the certifications listed below will receive an email with a special online re-certification offer as soon as the new exams are available.

  • Aperture 1.0, Level One (end user and trainer)
  • Aperture 1.5, Level One (end user and trainer)

The Aperture 1.0 and 1.5 certifications will be retired effective August 30, 2008, and at that time will no longer be accepted as qualification for membership in the Apple Certification Alliance, and associated listing on our Apple Certified Professionals public directory.

We're pleased to announce the availability of Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.5 and Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.5 at Apple Authorized Training Centers (AATCs). The Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.5 and Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.5 certification exams are also available at AATCs and Prometric testing centers. Note that while classes are offered at AATCs, many training centers can also deliver courses at a customer site. Apple Certification Alliance members: please note that as of April 1, 2008 the Mac OS X 10.3 certifications will be removed from the public listing.
