Course Description
This one-day course introduces students to the basics of image management and Aperture's powerful photo-editing, image-retouching, proofing, and publishing features. Students learn effective ways to display images for client review, apply metadata, update your online portfolio automatically, and much more. Real-world exercises feature professional photography from a variety of genres, including, sports, wedding, commercial, fine-art, and portraiture.
This book for this course is the Apple Pro Training Series book: Aperture 2 by Ben Long, Richard Harrington and Orlando Luna. Unlike the Aperture 101 course, this course does not cover many of the chapters in the book. However, students are free to continue the lessons on their own as all the files needed to complete the exercises are included on the DVD that accompanies the book.
Who Should Attend?
This class is for anyone looking to learn the fundamental functionality of Aperture, Apple's groundbreaking photo editing and management software. Aperture 2 delivers more than 100 new features that make it dramatically faster and easier to use and even more powerful.
Certification
This course covers most of the requirements necessary to successfully become an Apple Certified Pro, Level One in Aperture 2. However, students will need to complete the lessons not covered in the course on their own. Students interested in certification may prefer the Aperture 101 course.

Prerequisites
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:
- Basic knowledge of Mac OS X
