Course Description

This intensive, five-day course prepares training professionals and industry experts to deliver Apple’s Shake curriculum. The course combines lectures with hands-on, case study exercises that reinforce practical skills.

Apple Certified Trainer for Pro Applications

To attend a Pro Applications Train the Trainer (T3) course, you must first be accepted into the Apple Certified Trainer (ACT) for Pro Apps Program. Apply for admission to the ACT for Pro Apps Program by completing the online application. This program trains and certifies qualified individuals to deliver curricula focused on Apple’s suite of digital Pro applications. ACTs work with Apple Authorized Training Centers to deliver a range of courses to end users. Certification is a great way to measure your knowledge and confirm your expertise, and it provides an additional tool for marketing your skills.

Apple Certified Trainer for Shake

Once you have been accepted into the ACT for Pro Applications Program, you can elect to pursue Shake ACT certification as your first training delivery certification.

Prerequisites

Participants must meet the following prerequisites prior to attending this course:

  • Shake Apple Certified Pro Level 1, end-user certification.
  • Admission to the ACT for Pro Apps Program. The prerequisites for admission are:
  • An accepted Apple Certified Trainer application.
  • Attendance at an Apple pro application end-user course.
  • Minimum of one year of experience using Shake.
  • Minimum of three-years of experience as a teacher or professional in any of these fields: film editing, visual effects design, graphic design, or other closely related field.
  • Some teaching experience in a structured, classroom setting.

How to Become an Apple Certified Trainer for Pro Applications

To earn ACT certification for an application, you must first attend the a T3 course to acquire thorough knowledge of the courseware and effective instructional methods. First, choose your T3 course and complete the online Apple Certified Trainer application. The application will be reviewed by Apple Pro Training, and you must meet all Apple training prerequisites to be accepted into the program. Please allow at least seven business days for your application to be processed.

When your eligibility is confirmed, you'll receive an email with information on registration and fee payment for the T3 course that you've chosen.

After you're accepted into the ACT program, you'll be sent a code to take the end-user exam for the T3 course you've identified. You should take it prior to the course if you haven't taken the exam previously. If you have any questions, please contact us.

You must be accepted into the Apple Certified Trainer program in order to attend this course. Apply for admission by completing the Apple Certified Trainer application. Once accepted, you will receive an email with registration information.

Train-the-Trainer Class Schedule

  • First day: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Subsequent days: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Tuition and Fees

The $1500 tuition includes class fees, the trainer exam fee, and an NFR copy of the software. Before attending the class, you must review the appropriate Apple Pro Training Series courseware. You will be sent a link to order the book online at a 35% discount. You must bring the book and DVD to class with you. This courseware will help you prepare for the end user exam that you must pass before attending the T3. Instructions for taking the exam online for $25.00 USD will be sent to you.

If you do not pass the trainer exam on the first attempt, a retake code will be included in your Prometric results email. Retakes cost $150.00 USD. You must wait one week before you can retake the exam and can only retake the exam once. If you fail on your second attempt, you must take the full T3 course.
